Condyline Solution is a treatment for genital warts. It contains the active ingredient podophyllotoxin and is applied directly onto the warts. Once the warts have absorbed the medication, the active ingredient in the solution stops the wart cells from multiplying, which prevents the warts from growing. As the warts disappear, the wart cells are replaced by healthy skin cells and the skin returns to normal.
You should apply Condyline Solution with the applicator provided. Before applying Condyline Solution the affected area should be thoroughly washed with soap and water and dried. The solution should be applied only to the area affected by warts, and not to healthy skin. Condyline Solution should be applied twice daily for three days. If, at the end of these three days, the warts have not disappeared, the three-day course of Condyline Solution treatment should be repeated weekly for up to five weeks. You should wash your hands thoroughly after using Condyline Solution.
Condyline Solution is not appropriate for everyone. Your doctor will tell you if Condyline Solution is suitable for you. It should not be used on healthy skin, as it will cause irritation. Condyline Solution not recommended for use by women who are pregnant or breast-feeding or who are trying to get pregnant. You should avoid having sexual intercourse whilst using this medication and until the warts have gone. If you do, then a condom should be used. You should not use Condyline Solution if you are allergic to podophyllotoxin or any of the other ingredients in the medication.
Most people do not experience ay side effects fro using Condyline Solution .The most common side effects of Condyline Solution are itching, redness and soreness at the site of application. These side effects are usually mild and occur after a day or two after the first application. You are more likely to experience side effects if you do not use the mediation as advised. If you experience a severe skin reaction to Condyline Solution you should wash the affected area immediately with soap and water and ask your doctor for advice.
