How does Betnovate work?
Betnovate is used to reduce inflammation of the skin. This inflammation is usually caused by either an allergy or an irritation. When this happens the body releases chemicals, which cause blood vessels to get bigger, which in turn means that the area becomes swollen, red and itchy, as can be seen in eczema and dermatitis.
When Betnovate is applied to the skin it acts inside the cells to curb the release of the substances which cause the inflation to occur and this reduces the itchiness, the redness and the swelling.
Betnovate cream is suitable for moist or weeping sin while the ointment is recommended for dry or scaly skin.
What is Betnovate used for?
Betnovate can be used for a variety of skin conditions including:
- Eczema.
- Allergic contact dermatitis.
- Irritant contact dermatitis.
- Psoriasis.
- Thickened ski rash caused by excessive itching.
- Nodules on the skin.
