A verruca is caused by the human papilloma virus, which exists in many different forms. Verrucae are sometimes called plantar warts. They are only ever found on the soles of the feet. A verruca is a wart that is growing inwards as the result of the pressure that has been applied to it by standing.

Usually Aldara is prescribed as a treatment for genital warts though it is just as effective as a treatment for verrucae. When you rub the cream onto the verruca the body’s immune system kicks in and fights off the virus, thus helping it to get rid of the verruca.
When we supply to with your Aldara cream you will also receive all the instructions that you will need to use the treatment. The cream is used three times a week and is left on for eight hours before it needs to be washed off. Filing down the verruca in between treatments can also help.
